Each fall the Summit Chamber hosts the "unofficial" kick-off to the ski season when the Chief Operating Officers of 5 area ski resorts gather to discuss the innovations and improvements from the summer and plans for the winter season. In addition, there is a motivation Key Note Speaker who is invited to share his story.

Mike Shaw is a former freestyle skier and coach. He was living the dream making his living from his passion of skiing. But that all changed one day. He’s turned his tragedy into something positive, and shares his story about how he came out on top and turned grief into gratitude.

The primary demographic of the attendees are business owners and managers, along with community leaders and elected officials.

Tickets for the event are priced at $75 dollars each.

In years past, the event has sold out in hours and tickets are highly sought-after.
